Inaugurating the exchange, Ambassador Dr. N. Nandakumar highlighted the role of Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle of India and urged the participants to integrate Gandhian values, especially non-violence, peace, cleanliness and sustainable lifestyle into their daily life.
Led by Ms. Neeharika Sinha Roy of I.I.M.U.N., the participants engaged in a lively discussion about the five principles of (i) Ahimsa (non-violence), (ii) Satya (Truth), (iii) Swarajya (self-reliance), (iv) ‘Poorva-paksha’ (understanding the opponents view points) and (v) Sarvodaya (inclusive development).
